it doesn't work.
I read numerous article on techcrunch. Marked some as favorites, but only a few can be seen in readness. Some I favorited were not recorded, their not even in history

Reward accomplishments
Sure I can "level up" on certain topics and my friends can know about that but I don't feel like I'm really accomplishing anything. Even without this extension I would read the articles I read -- though it would make me feel better if I got badges (like what FourSquare) does and maybe a leader board as well? Also why not hook us up with people who are reading the same articles as us -- possibly suggesting sites/articles they read based on similarities.

do more ranking of news stories
essentially a "top news" version would be nice to focus on the couple dozen stories that really matter across all the topics I follow vs. "recent stories" alone as it seems to be now. basically optimized to check back a few times per day and see the major changes.

great thinking – planning this in the very near future :)

add Readness support to Broadersheet iPhone app
I live in RSS feed overload hell. I love the Broadersheet iPhone (kind of confusing that the app has the same name as the company...) app's idea of learning what I like and filtering it for me, but wish it would also scrobble my reads to Readness.
...on a side note, iPad and web app versions of Broadersheet would be amazing ;)

Keyboard shortcuts
All you need really is j/k to navigate up or down news items, and return to open that item.

Infinite scrolling
Title says it all. I'm suppressed by the fact that you don't even have pagination. I want to be able to view the recent most popular news relating to a particular topic and scroll through tons of it. At the moment I have to resort to clicking refresh repeatedly between scanning the titles for something that perks my interest.

agreed that if done well, would be awesome.

update the profile scores on the right of the page dynamically
If I launch a story and read it for a bit I'd like the stats on the right hand side to update straight away

We currently update the level indicators and bring in any new notifications as they happen.
We’ll expand this to include read counts soon.

Scribd.com document recognition. There are so many great items on their service.
Scribd.com Has Thousands of research papers, magazines etc.. it would be a great addition and, they already have an API and Facebook connect which may make it easier to add in.

fix the bug that means I can't see my history or top news
For the last couple of days I've been unable to log in to the service (readness.com/account results in an error page) and I get the same error if I manage to get to my profile by following another link and then try to view 'Home' from the navigation. I think it means my reading from the last few days hasn't been scrobbled at all.

whoops, wonder how we missed this – your articles should be still remembered, we’re fixing it .

Show images next to news items.
All this would have to do is parse the most relevant image from the article, scale it down, and display it next to the news item in Readness.

Content Parser
I don't want to read my news from hundreds of different website designs cluttered with annoying ads. You should make a content parser similar to and as good as Readability (http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/) but probably server side like Instapaper Mobilizer (http://www.instapaper.com/m/) so it's faster.
